Unfortunately this is not working with my iPhone-Application. Is there another way for those?

Okay, I just figured it out for myself:
For an iPhone-Application you have to use a .png-File.
Furthermore you seem to have to watch out for several points to not have apple reject your application. I found a nice link to that: http://www.iphonedevelopmentfaq.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=15&id=35&artlang=en
