Just wanted to let everybody know (who doesn’t follow me on Twitter) that there will be new episodes of Hot Cocoa beginning on August 1st. I’m also introducing a new sort of “spin-off” of Hot Cocoa called Hot Cocoa Basics. Basically every 4th episode of Hot Cocoa will be a Hot Cocoa Basics episodes, teaching the fundamentals of programming and maybe some of the underlying concepts in computer science.
I’m also working on getting the forums back up. The database somehow got deleted and I didn’t notice it in time to restore it from the backups since I only have them for the prior week.

Hello? (echo…)
Hi,
Are you going to produce more episodes? I just found your site and just installed Xcode 4. I am brand new to programming in any way, shape, or form. I have seen nothing but horrible reviews for the Objective-C For Dummies Book.
I am about half way through the HelloWorld first application for iPhone that is explained on Apple.com, but the problem is, it isn’t actually explained. It seems to assume that you know Objective-C. I don’t. So, I have no idea why I am doing what it is asking me to do.
I would love if you did a series that started off teaching how to program iPhone apps, including the necessary lessons in Objective-C, but below a dummies level. Some lessons that could bring me up from retarded to dummy level would be a great start!
Thanks! I am going through these videos now to see what I can gleen from them. They look good so far!
